An Awareness Programme on the Benefits of Ayurveda
was organized at DN Borthakur Hall, ICAR Research Complex for NEH Region, Umiam, Meghalaya on 19th September
2025 to mark the 10th Ayurveda Day. The event was organized with the objective of promoting Ayurveda and highlighting
its relevance in modern life, especially in immunity building, wellness, and holistic health.
The programme was coordinated by Dr. Hijam Jiten Singh,
Dr. Krishnappa R., Dr. M. Prabha, Dr. Y. Bijen Kumar, and the administrative team. Experts from Northeastern
Institute of Ayurveda and Homeopathy (NEIAH), Shillong (Dr. Verity Markap and Dr. Harlin Swer) delivered lectures
on preventive healthcare, lifestyle management, and natural remedies, followed by an interactive Q&A session.
The event saw enthusiastic participation from scientists, staffs,
and students, who gained valuable insights into Ayurveda as a holistic approach to health and well-being. The collaboration
with NEIAH enriched the programme and emphasized the importance of integrating traditional wisdom with modern life.
